Biological traits:

Magan have a specific gene, that typically runs in the family, certain magic based species are more likely to be Magan, such as Fairians, but its not guaranteed.

Extremities:

The ability to do magic. It varies from person to person, some can only pull off a minor healing spell, others can do more intense magic like teleportation. It depends on the person, and of course practice.

Humans can only really use wands due to how it reacts with skin (healing magic is usually fine though).

Culture:

No specific culture, but none magic based species typically keep their Magan status on the down low due to predjudice.
